The new Orion 33 Gold and Orion 38 Silver perfectly encapsulate the Nomos Glashütte design philosophy and subtly defies the perception that quality timepieces must be expensive. With their simple design and elegant craftsmanship at a relatively affordable price point, these are watches that celebrate life.

There are two case size options in this new addition to the Nomos Glashütte Orion watch collection. A very feminine gold dial version with a case diameter of 33 mm, reminiscent of the early Glasütte masterpieces. The larger silver dial version comes in a diameter of 38 mm, suitable for both men and women. With both watches, there is a choice of either a stainless steel case back or a  sapphire crystal case back. Both versions can be custom engraved with a maximum of 65 characters, making them ideal gifts and the perfect companion for any jewelry piece.

The dials of both versions are elegant yet simple with the Nomos Glashütte signature sub-second dial. The dials are polished and galvanized, gold and white silver-plated, respectively. The Orion 33 uses rhodium-plated applied indexes to contrast with the gold dial. At the same time, the Orion 38 has gold-plated applied indexes contrasting the silver dial.

The design of this new Orion collection harks back to an early Glashütte masterpiece- a simple watch with polished dials and applied indexes. Today the silver case has been replaced with a stainless steel one.

Both the Watches feature a push-pull crown at the standard 3 o’clock position with the wording ‘NOMOS’ on it.

Movement:

The movement allows Nomos Glashütte to separate itself from the competition. The Nomos in-house ALPHA manual movement powers the Orion 33 Gold and Orion 38 Silver and features 43 hours of power reserve. The Alpha caliber was the first in-house Nomos movement, and it still powers most of their watches today.

Nomos Glashütte is one of the select brands that offer in-house manual movements in their timepieces.
