The world of interior design is full of creative minds who seek to add beauty and functionality to different objects, from furniture to fashion accessories. In parallel with the Salone del Mobile in Milan, NOMOS partnered with Thomas Höhnel to launch a new series of watches that combines their signature accuracy with a bold color scheme that centers around the color pink.
The new watches, which include four square versions of the popular Tetra model, were all designed by Thomas Höhnel, an experienced color specialist and interior designer. Höhnel skillfully plays with tone, color, and contrast on the 29.5 X 29.5 mm dials, creating a series of watches that are both beautiful and functional. The Tetra models are all named after quirky traits, such as “Die Kapriziöse” (The Capricious) and “Die Fuchsteufelswilde” (The Mad One), and all feature a manually wound caliber and a velvety gray strap made of vegan velour.
The Tetra watches are not the first time that designers from the world of furniture have ventured into the world of timepieces. Mark Braun and Werner Aisslinger, who are known for their lamps, hotels, and sofas, have also designed successful watch models for NOMOS, such as the Metro and Autobahn. This shows that the skills and knowledge needed to create beautiful and functional furniture can also be applied to other objects, such as watches.
The New NOMOS Tetra Quartet
The new NOMOS Tetra models are designed to be both stylish and versatile, pairing well with both formal and casual attire. The watches come in shades of pink and feature edges and corners that add a unique touch of personality. Each watch has a contrasting small seconds dial, which is engraved with the name of the watch in German on the back, and all of them are powered by the hand-wound NOMOS Alpha caliber. The watches are available with either a sapphire crystal or steel back, with the latter being customizable with an engraving of your choice.

It has four corners and a slim, elegant profile thanks to its hand-wound Alpha caliber. The name “Die Unerreichbare” is engraved on the back in German, adding to the watch’s allure.
Tetra “Die Wildentschlossene”
“Die Wildentschlossene,” which translates into The Fiercely Determined, features a dial in a beautiful shade of rose, perfectly balancing elegance with a bold color choice. The name “Die Wildentschlossene” is engraved in German on the back, and the hand-wound Alpha caliber can be seen through the sapphire crystal. With its edges and corners, this watch is a standout piece.
Tetra “Die Fuchsteufelswilde”
“Die Fuchsteufelswilde,” which translates into The Mad One, features a light aubergine color on the dial with a milled small seconds dial in a contrasting color. The name “Die Fuchsteufelswilde” adds a playful touch to the watch, while its slim profile and precision Alpha caliber make it a serious timepiece.
Tetra “Die Kapriziöse”
“Die Kapriziöse,” which translates into The Capricious, has a modern nude tone on the dial with a small seconds dial in silver and a small second hand in yellow, adding a pop of color to the watch. Its name, “Die Kapriziöse,” perfectly captures this timepiece’s playful yet sophisticated nature. With its hand-wound Alpha caliber and vegan velour strap, this watch is both stylish and sustainable.
