The new Patria GMT by Tutima Glashütte comes in a 43 mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystal front and back, pressure tested to 10 atmospheres. The timepiece is sophisticatedly elegant and enables the wearer to check both home and destination times at a glance on the finely silver-plated dial. The watch also boasts 18-karat gold hands intricately crafted in-house and meticulously polished with ground and matted bevels for graceful timekeeping. The GMT hand in the second time zone is displayed on a subdial at the “6,” along with a continually running second-hand. The time can be set to any desired local time, even if it varies by a quarter or half-hour from neighboring zones. The Patria GMT is available with a hand-stitched alligator leather strap with a tang buckle.

The watch’s “watch of the world” understated elegance is evident when peering through the sapphire crystal on the back of the case. The Patria runs on Tutima’s precision-engineered Calibre 619, a hand-wound movement built on the premises of the Tutima manufactory and in accord with classic Glashütte tradition. The escapement in the movement is index-free and includes a manually bent and drawn upward Breguet hairspring that terminates in a curve held by a pinned, firmly attached stud. The movement’s surfaces are beautifully embellished with straight graining or manual polishing and are also given elaborate peripheral grinding. The movement has a power reserve of 65 hours when fully wound.
