In the world of precision timepieces, one name stands out for its commitment to pushing the boundaries of what a watch can achieve. DELMA, known for its exceptional diver’s watches, has once again set a new standard with the Blue Shark IV. This fourth iteration of their renowned deep-sea diver doesn’t just break records; it shatters them.

Imagine diving 5,000 meters below the ocean’s surface into the heart of the abyssal zone—a realm of total darkness, bone-chilling temperatures, and crushing pressures. This is where the Blue Shark IV thrives, making it a true masterpiece of underwater engineering.

DELMA has a rich history of crafting exceptional dive watches, and the Blue Shark series has always been at the forefront of their innovation. The original Blue Shark, introduced in 2011, was designed for one purpose: to explore the deepest depths of the ocean. With a remarkable water resistance of 3000 meters, it laid the foundation for a family of watches that would redefine what divers’ instruments could achieve.

Each subsequent generation of Blue Shark watches brought its own unique characteristics to the table. The Blue Shark II focused on strength and durability, while the Blue Shark III Azores not only advanced underwater capabilities but also supported vital research initiatives for the conservation of endangered sharks.

Now, with the Blue Shark IV, DELMA has truly outdone itself. Andreas Leibundgut, Head of Marketing at DELMA, says, “The Blue Shark holds a special place within DELMA’s diver collection. As our ultimate deep diver, the evolution of the fourth edition required precise engineering and careful consideration of the case design. Presenting a timepiece with water resistance to 5000 meters epitomizes our motivation to create exceptional professional divers’ watches that inspire.”

The Blue Shark IV boasts a solid stainless steel 47 mm case, meticulously designed for strength and security. Features like the helium escape valve and screw-down crown ensure the utmost water tightness, making it a reliable companion in the ocean’s depths. The unidirectional bezel, now even easier to grip, complements the new 20 mm case height. The watch’s bold numerals, indexes, and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring clear legibility even in the darkest depths.
