The love affair between the Geneva-based firm and aventurine has never wavered. Czapek first used aventurine for its Quai des Bergues Midnight in Geneva 18-piece limited edition, developed in 2019 to mark the opening of the brand’s first store in Geneva. Following the success of this timepiece was the Midnight in Geneva S, which at a smaller case size of 38.5 mm, proved more challenging to incorporate aventurine on the dial. Both of the special Midnight in Geneva editions are now sold out.

The new Faubourg de Cracovie Aventurine, like the Quai des Bergues features three aventurine dials, as each of the chronograph counters is fixed inside the hours and minutes dial. “Cutting out aventurine, a very fragile glass, is a challenge in itself,” says Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO of Czapek & Cie. “If you add the fact that the indices are applied and not transferred, with the risk of creating fractures by piercing the dial, you appreciate the high end of savoir faire when working with aventurine.” The watch is given an extra sporty look with the choice of baton-applied indexes with SuperLuminova® treatment. “The Faubourg de Cracovie Aventurine represents the epitome of sport-chic without concessions,” says Xavier De Roquemaurel.

Like all of the timepieces in the Faubourg de Cracovie collection, the Faubourg de Cracovie Aventurine has a case size of 41.5 mm with crown protectors that serve as chronograph pushers. The case is stainless steel with a blue alligator strap and a folding clasp. The watch is powered by the SXH3 caliber, a COSC-Certified automatic chronograph movement, with a 65-hour power reserve from a single barrel.
