Unlike Atlas, fated to carry the world on his shoulders, watch enthusiasts can instead help themselves to something akin to a masterpiece: the new 28-piece limited edition Globetrotter Platinum from Arnold & Son. Carry the world on your wrist and channel the renaissance spirit of adventure with the precision and progress of modern watchmaking mastery.

A hand-crafted dial of our Northern hemisphere, 18-carat rhodium-plated gold appliques at the hour markers, and a 24-hour ring made of sapphire crystal, all connected by the sleek bejeweled bridge, the signature of the Arnold & Son Globetrotter all make this watch just unique.

A Stunning Dial

Beyond the elegant 24-hour ring and stunning applique hour markers, watch enthusiasts will appreciate the works of art that continue in the details of the Globetrotter PlatinumOn their wrists would sit the Northern Hemisphere with hand-painted oceans and shorelines lacquered in blue and powdered with mother-of-pearl. The mother of pearl on the shorelines is mixed with Super-LumiNova to make them shine in low light.

Land masses were created, incredibly, from a single rhodium-plated piece, with matt-finish mountain ranges completing the globe details. All this sits under an 18-carat rhodium-plated gold bridge—the Globetrotter signature detail with a jewel always at its center—polished, with sides satin-finished, the entire motif contained within an anti-reflective sapphire crystal dome; and, finally, a brand-new platinum 45mm case.

The universal hours’ ring is made of sapphire crystal. Red arrows pointing to the markers represent local hours, and imaginary longitudes from the diamond in the center of the bridge to the 24-hour ring may be used to read off global times.

Fine Finishings

The new case shines with the unique grey of the platinum, framing the globe in elegance, reflecting these elements in its sapphire crystal. The Arnold & Son A&S6022 automatic caliber stands out through the crystal sapphire case back with its circular grain main plate and Côte de Geneve stripes, created at the Arnold & Son Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The oscillating weight is 22-carat gold with a ‘Clous de Paris’ guilloché pattern. The attention to detail continues with the mixture of polished, satin-finished, and chamfered wheels and screws and an NAC finish that mirrors the shine, color, and aura of the Arnold & Son Globetrotter Platinum case.

The straps for the Globetrotter are made of hand-stitched blue alligator skin with a raspberry alligator lining and feature a 950 platinum and titanium folding clasp.

Arnold & Son Signature Bridge

The signature bridge for the Globetrotter Platinum maintains the Arnold & Son Globetrotter shape and style; a single piece of 18-carat gold precisely designed with polished faces, satin sides, and chamfered longer edges. The bridge is more extensive than the parts of the movement and therefore requires extra care when it comes to precision.
