Audemars Piguet and acclaimed musician Mark Ronson are teaming up for an exclusive and extraordinary concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival. As part of their ongoing collaboration, Audemars Piguet has entrusted Ronson with creating a truly memorable experience for the festival’s closing night on July 15 this year. The “Mark Ronson and his Favourite Band Ever” concert will feature a collective of talented musicians who have played significant roles in Ronson’s career, along with his protégés Lucky Daye and Yebba. Creative director Daphnée Lanternier brings her unique perspective to the event, which pays tribute to the bond between Ronson and his musical family. The entire creative process has been captured in a documentary called “Syncing Sounds – Live.”

Mark Ronson’s love for music dates back to his early years, and he has since become an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, and multi-award-winning artist. In 2022, he became Audemars Piguet’s brand ambassador and embarked on a creative challenge set by the brand—collaborating with an artist of his choice. This resulted in a track created in partnership with Lucky Daye, documented in the immersive video series “Syncing Sounds.”

For this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival, Audemars Piguet has given Ronson the opportunity to curate a unique collaborative concert. Ronson has invited talented musicians who have contributed to iconic songs by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, and Bruno Mars. The lineup includes Dave Guy, Homer Steinweiss, Nick Movshon, Ian Hendrickson-Smith, Leon Michels, and Elizabeth Pupo-Walker. Joining Ronson and his protégés, Lucky Daye and Yebba, these remarkable musicians will take the stage and perform some of Ronson’s biggest hits, creating an unforgettable experience for the audience. The concert’s scenography, crafted in collaboration with creative director Daphnée Lanternier, promises an intimate atmosphere that captures the essence of music.

The journey behind the creation of this extraordinary concert has been captured in the documentary “Syncing Sounds – Live.” Filmmaker Lauren Luxenberg followed Mark Ronson as he meticulously crafted the show, documenting conversations, text messages, and voice notes between Ronson, his guests, and Daphnée Lanternier. The film not only reveals the selection of artists and their repertoire but also showcases the months of preparation leading up to a jam session in New York. “Syncing Sounds – Live” can be viewed on Audemars Piguet’s website and social media channels.

In addition to this collaboration, Audemars Piguet’s music program, APXMUSIC, aims to support emerging talents and foster artistic encounters. The program provides a platform for rising music artists to collaborate, create original soundtracks, and explore new creative territories. Through APXMUSIC, Audemars Piguet invites music lovers to embark on unique and emotionally charged musical experiences.

The partnership between Audemars Piguet and Mark Ronson began with the Syncing Sounds video series in 2022, which showcased Ronson’s creative process as he collaborated with Lucky Daye on the track “Too Much.” Their collaboration has now reached new heights with the Montreux Jazz Festival concert. As Audemars Piguet’s brand ambassador, Mark Ronson exemplifies the brand’s commitment to elevating human talent and creating extraordinary moments that resonate with people’s hearts. This partnership aligns with Audemars Piguet’s rich heritage of supporting talented artisans in the Vallée de Joux since 1875.
