Laurent Ferrier’s aim has always been to design contemporary yet timeless watches, combining technical expertise, practicality, and aesthetic simplicity. Watchmaking once again meets modern innovation in both of these two new versions of the Micro-Rotor.

Laurent Ferrier Two New Micro-Rotors

Laurent Ferrier introduces two variations of the Micro-Rotor watch at this year’s Watches & Wonders Show. The first timepiece introduced is the Square Micro-Rotor Evergreen in a cushion-shaped 41mm X 41 mm stainless steel case with a deep green dial with a vertical satin-brushed finish. Its aerodynamic curves, symmetry, and intricate lines give it a sense of sophistication and a more assertive presence on the wrist than the Classic version.

The second watch introduced is the Classic Micro-Rotor Evergreen with the same green dial with refined finishes, but it is nestled in an 18-carat red gold round case. It draws inspiration from the elegant and understated pocket watches of the 19th century and embodies Laurent Ferrier’s sophisticated design elements.

The signature design element of LAURENT FERRIER watches is the tapered profile of their cases. Both cases feature a ball-shaped winding crown that allows for smooth handling. The careful design, down to the hooked case back topped with sapphire crystal, enables the wearer to admire the movement without any distractions. The olivette, located at the bottom of the back bezel, allows only LF watchmakers to access the caliber ingeniously. The Square and Classic cases are both water-resistant up to 30 meters.

The Evergreen Dials

“Evergreen” implies a timeless quality, and the color green is often associated with nature, growth, and renewal. In keeping with this theme, the latest versions of the Micro-Rotor watch embody this enduring elegance with a natural escapement, while the deep green of the new dial conveys a sense of harmony. Both the 18-carat white gold and the red gold indices on the dial ensure optimal legibility.

The Laurent Ferrier FBN 229.01 Calibre

These two timepieces both perfectly blend traditional watchmaking principles with modern technological advancements. They are powered by Laurent Ferrier’s signature FBN 229.01 caliber, a self-winding movement featuring a natural escapement micro-rotor that has gained widespread acclaim from enthusiasts. The micro-rotor operates in a unidirectional ratchet-type motion and offers a 72-hour power reserve. The movement is entirely designed, assembled, and adjusted in Laurent Ferrier’s workshops in Geneva.
