At the 81st Venice International Film Festival, Nicholas Hoult made a striking appearance at the world premiere of his latest film, The OrderHoult, known for his versatile roles in both independent films and major blockbusters, is also a global ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The Order is a highly anticipated film directed by Justin Kurzel and based on the 1989 non-fiction book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt. The film delves into the sinister activities of a white supremacist group operating in the United States during the 1980s. Hoult stars alongside Jude Law, who plays an FBI agent investigating a series of bombings and robberies tied to this extremist group. The film, which is already stirring significant conversation, highlights the unsettling relevance of its themes in today’s world, as noted by Law and Hoult during the premiere.

For the premiere of The Order, Hoult chose to wear the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph in Pink Gold, a timepiece that perfectly speaks to the brand’s philosophy of merging tradition with modernity. The Reverso was originally designed in the 1930s for polo players, who needed a watch that could endure the demands of the sport, the Reverso quickly became an icon of Art Deco style. Its rectangular case, clean lines, and elegant proportions have made it a favorite among watch lovers for nearly a century.

As the evening transitioned to the red carpet, Hoult switched to another Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece: the Reverso Small Seconds in Pink Gold. With its bold Art Deco design, this watch harks back to the original 1931 Reverso. The sunray-brushed black dial contrasts strikingly with the polished pink gold case, making it a timeless choice, as fitting today as it was in the 1930s.

The film’s exploration of far-right extremism and its chilling impact on society feels particularly urgent, resonating with audiences and critics alike. Hoult’s performance, along with the film’s powerful narrative, makes it a must-watch as it gears up for its December 2024 release in select theaters.
